V67 Rules OK
As soon as I put on the headphones, it's blatantly obvious how uniquely superb these V series mics are. It's a big musical sound that seems to ignore anything bad in the room! It focuses on what your soul is trying to produce. I've never heard a microphone that captures your imagination more than the reality.

Everyone who has done any recording is well aware of the phenomenon of setting up a microphone that is technically perfect and when you push up the fader you hear all these things that your ear got used to - rattles and noises, and air-conditioning & garbage. And then your own voice, or your own instrument, as a mini me of yourself. The V series microphones are kind of the opposite. They seem to ignore the bad parts of the room and embellish the good parts of the musical instrument. I have no idea how this is even possible. It's not. It's all an illusion but sound kind of is!

Greg, it was a pleasure working with you microphones. The V67 is my favourite. It has a beautiful mid range and more character than any mic I have heard. We often talk about how we do not like too much colouration but the style of colouration in these mics everyone's got to love. The V67 has a sweet mid-range to bring out the fleshy quality in the vocal - all too often lost in digital recordings.
